French Flat Toast

Got home recently after a doomed trip to Rome (spent the entire time in hotel with sick child...) and had nothing to feed them the morning after we arrived back in Dubai except some pretty stale flat bread and some eggs.

Flat French Toast was the natural answer. The only trick seemed to be cutting it into quarters and turning it inside out so it would soak up the egg. If you dont, the texture isnt very nice. But if you do, it gets a kind of yummy crepe-y texture and is lovely with maple syrup (yeah! Geant Hypermarket organic section...) or strawberry jam.

Here's a picture of the view from my hotel. All I saw of Italy this time around, at least it was green...
